Six technicians from the company are involved in the project, which will preserve 68 million trees since the cables will be installed in the riverbeds without removing vegetation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Norte Conectado Program aims to expand the communications infrastructure in the Amazon Region through the implementation of sub-river fiber optic cables through the construction of eight information highways with 12 thousand kilometers in length in 59 municipalities in the states of Acre, Amap\u00e1, Amazonas, Par\u00e1, Rond\u00f4nia and Roraima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Luis Pizzorno, business development manager at EnvironPact, said that the team\u2019s most significant challenges are the climate and distances in the region. \u201cParticipating in such a large project at Amazon is a challenge for the entire team. Much planning is being done to ensure the team\u2019s safety based on the region\u2019s climate, river flow, distances to be covered by river and cultural barriers.
