Mariana Soares holds a master’s degree in Tropical Aquatic Systems (Ecology) and a degree in Aquatic Sciences (Oceanography). With over 10 years of professional experience, she worked at the beginning of her career on board, working on seismic research vessels, drilling platforms and oceanographic research vessels, carrying out environmental monitoring of marine biota. She was responsible for the management, coordination and participation in offshore and onshore environmental studies and projects in the oil and gas, fiber optic cables and ports sectors. She has extensive experience in environmental licensing, focusing on seismic research activities, preparation of environmental studies, reports and implementation of environmental projects, including marine biota monitoring (PMBM), passive acoustic monitoring (PMAP), social communication (PCS), environmental education for workers (PEAT) and pollution control (PCP). Recently, she worked on preparing the ESG report for the Carmópolis Cluster, in Sergipe, addressing the ICF socio-environmental performance standards and the Equator Principles.
