Monique Freire is a chemical engineer with a postgraduate degree in Safety Engineering and Petroleum and Production Engineering with an emphasis on Management Technology for Production and Quality. She has worked for over 20 years in the Oil and Natural Gas industry in the area of HSE and Emergency, coordinating and developing Emergency Management Plans and Manuals, as well as in emergency and crisis management. Much of her professional experience was gained in the oil and gas exploration and production sector, working in HSE forums of the Brazilian Petroleum Institute and interacting with IBAMA, the Ministry of the Environment, CONAMA and ANP. She has also worked in the chemical, quality and environmental areas as a project coordinator and manager. She works at EnvironPact focusing on the implementation of the management tool known as Incident Command System (ICS) and is currently the leader of the company’s Emergency and Crisis area.
