EnvironPact presents technical papers at IOSC 2024, the world’s largest event on oil spill control.

EnvironPact team represented the company at the International Oil Spill Conference 2024 (IOSC). The conference occurred from May 13 to 16 in New Orleans, United States.

“Being here with this team is essential for us to share knowledge and keep up with trends, initiatives and technologies applied in emergency response and oil spill control. It is an opportunity to exchange experiences with leading names in the sector and demonstrate the relevance of our projects and activities to the world,” highlighted the CEO of EnvironPact and General Director of OceanPact, Adriano Ranieri.

In one of the panels, Ranieri presented the results and lessons learned from more than 5 years of the Mar Atento Project, which trained fishing communities in some cities in the Southeast Region in techniques for combating coastal oil spills. The project was signed by him, as well as directors Pedro Martins and Pedro Perez (EnvironPact); specialists Stephanie Caplan and Caroline Canellas (EnvironPact); Maira de Oliveira (Equinor) and Suely Ortega (Shell). On another front, EnvironPact presented a paper on implementing a Strategic Plan for Coastal Protection and Cleanup and Tactical Response Plans for offshore drilling activity in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin, including training for more than 900 people and an on-site oil spill simulation. Pedro Martins signed the paper; OceanPact directors Marcelo Côrtes and João Serra; managers Jorge Elias and Bernardo Assis (OceanPact); specialists Pedro Habibe (EnvironPact) and Henrique Margem (OceanPact); and Mauricio Green (3R).
